    Can anything be both very sad yet wonderous at the same time? Here is a plant that
    flowered and then, after 28 years, flowered for the last time before it died.

    I think some people are that way. And our feelings of sadness and loss go very deep.
    But to think we would flower just before we die, is kind of great ! Is it not? That’s what I would want at the end of my life, to flower in one way or the other, and then, just quietly take my place with those other humans and species that have gone before.

    Thank you for reminding us of this way to live. I hope we all ‘pull this off’ even the end of our lives.
