“Hold These Truths” at ACT Theater

There’s lots going on with excellent coverage by Crosscut, Seattle’s on-line news source.

At ACT theater – 90 minutes, no intermission:  “Jeanne Sakata’s one-man show is inspired by the true story of University of Washington student Gordon Hirabayashi. Gordon agonizes over U.S. Government orders to forcibly remove and mass incarcerate all people of Japanese ancestry on the West Coast during WWII. As he fights to reconcile his country’s betrayal with his passionate belief in the U.S. Constitution, Hirabayashi journeys toward a greater understanding of America’s triumphs— and a confrontation with its failures.”
