What will be the impact of Parkshore at Juanita Bay in Kirkland on Skyline and Parkshore in Seattle?

There is a new venture by TA coming to the Eastside:A Life Plan Community (also known as a Continuing Care Retirement Community or CCRC) offers the security of knowing you’ll have care options, at reduced and predictable rates, if you ever need them. Unlike many senior living communities, a Life Plan Community offers Independent Living as well as a continuum of care at one of our nearby satellite communities, including Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing, and post-hospital care.”

So this raises a question. As a new part of the obligated group, which one of “our satellite communities” will house the residents requiring skilled nursing AL or memory care? Actually the web site answers this question: “Parkshore Juanita Bay is a standalone senior apartment community with only independent living residences. But should the time come that you need more support and access to healthcare services, you will have priority access to the continuum of care at our Parkshore and Skyline sister communities. You’ll enjoy all of the benefits of a Continuing Care Retirement Community, but feel like you’re living in a neighborhood.

But wait! What does “priority access for care at Parkshore and Skyline” actually mean? Perhaps we need some clarification.
